Hi, I’m Mikaela!
I’m a product and web designer based in Charlotte, NC, originally from Uruguay, a small country in South America with more cows than people 🐄. I also lived many years in Argentina, where I built a strong foundation in industrial and product design. Over the years, I’ve explored all kinds of design —product design, visual design, interior architecture, and worked +7 years as a project engineer. All of those experiences shaped the way I think and gave me a creative approach to solving challenges.
I'm passionate about both learning and teaching! After graduating from my BS in Industrial Design, I went back to school to pursue a Grad Diploma in Higher Education, and spent over five years teaching. I’ve worked with students of all ages, from kids to college students, always trying to make learning exciting and engaging.
In 2021, I moved to Asheville, NC, and graduated with a degree in Digital Media Technologies. Now in Charlotte, I focus on creating digital work that is functional, beautiful, and accessible. I enjoy experimenting with new ideas and tools like responsive web, motion, 3D, and AR, and I love turning complex ideas into experiences that feel fresh, engaging, and meaningful.
