Hi, I'm Mikaela!
-a multi-disciplinary Product + Web + Visual Designer based in Charlotte, NC, who loves turning ideas into immersive digital experiences. I’m originally from Uruguay but spent many years living in Argentina, where I developed a strong foundation in industrial and product design.
Over the years, I’ve explored all kinds of design —product design, visual design, interior architecture, and worked +5 years as a project engineer. These experiences have shaped my creative process and given me a unique perspective on solving design challenges.
I'm passionate about both learning and teaching! After graduating from the industrial design program, I went back to school to pursue a graduate diploma in higher education and spent over five years teaching. I’ve worked with students of all ages, from kids to college students, always trying to make learning exciting and engaging.
In 2021, I moved to Asheville, NC, and recently graduated with a degree in Digital Media Technologies. Now based in Charlotte, my work is driven by a commitment to ensuring that digital solutions are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also accessible to the widest possible audience. I strive to integrate accessibility standards into all my projects, ensuring that my designs contribute to a more inclusive digital world.
