Hi, I'm Mikaela!
I'm an industrial and product designer from Uruguay but I lived in Argentina for many years. Over the years, I've immersed myself in various design fields, including graphic design, window & display design, interior architecture, and project engineering.
I'm passionate about both learning and teaching! After graduating from the industrial design program, I went back to school to pursue a graduate diploma in higher education. I now have +5 years of experience in ICT-based teaching and learning. I have taught students of all ages, from elementary school to college. My classes always aim to make learning a fun and engaging experience!
In 2021, I moved to Asheville, NC, and recently graduated with a degree in Digital Media Technologies in 2024. Digital accessibility is a core principle in my design philosophy. I believe that technology should be usable by all people, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. My work is driven by a commitment to ensuring that digital solutions are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also accessible to the widest possible audience. I strive to integrate accessibility standards into all my projects, ensuring that my designs contribute to a more inclusive digital world.
